SUBJECT: US Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Bank Robbery Update

INCIDENT LOCATION: West Memphis, Arkansas

On Tuesday, December 31st, 2013 at 10:28 AM Duluth Police were called to a bank robbery that just occurred at US Bank, 2000 West Superior Street.
Initial investigation revealed that the suspect entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect had a white shopping bag that he said contained a gun, but a gun was not displayed. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen on foot westbound on Superior Street. Investigators obtained surveillance video from the bank which showed images of the suspect.
The suspect is described as follows:
  • Black male
  • Approximately 5’10
  • Facial hair
  • Wearing a dark coat and baseball cap
The Duluth Police Department is following several leads, this is an active investigation and no further information is available at this time. If anyone has information about this incident has seen or knows the whereabouts of the suspect, they are asked to call 911.

UPDATE:
On Monday, January 20th, 2014 FBI Agents and West Memphis local authorities arrested Kenja Omar-Deangelo Carmichael, a 35 year old male at a residence in West Memphis, Arkansas for the robbery that occurred on December, 31st, 2013 at US Bank in Duluth.  He remains in federal custody.
