INCIDENT LOCATION: Downtown Duluth
On Sunday March 9th, 2014 the Shamrock Pub Shuffle will take place in Downtown Duluth. The event will begin in Lief Erickson Park at 3:30pm. Participants will be released in groups approximately 4 minutes apart and will follow a group leader running to 3 different downtown/Canal Park Pubs before finishing in front of Dub Lihn's Irish Pub on Superior Street.
Starting at about 1:30pm Superior Street will be closed to traffic between 1st and 2nd Avenues West. Westbound Superior Street traffic will be detoured up 1st Ave W to 1st Street, West to 2nd Ave W and back down to Superior Street. Eastbound traffic will be detoured down 2nd Ave West to Michigan Street, East to 1st Ave W and back up to Superior Street.
DTA buses will follow this detour.
Motorists are urged to use caution when driving in the area of the event, and watch for detours, road closures, pedestrians, and Police Officers directing traffic.
Superior Street should open to regular traffic by 10:00pm.
