INCIDENT LOCATION: north of 19th Avenue Wes & 2nd Street

 

On Tuesday, April 15th, 2014 at 2:04 PM Duluth Police were called to investigate a dead
human body.
A passerby noticed a decomposed body located approximately 100 yards north of the
intersection of 19th Avenue West & 2nd Street along a fence and brush line.
Investigators are working to determine identification. The body has been transported to the
Medical Examiner’s Office to rule on cause and manner of death.
Based on preliminary evidence we believe the individual is Dale Elizabeth Gerard, the
missing 74 year old female that was last seen on July 20th, 2013, however we are waiting
for final confirmation from the County Medical Examiner’s Office which we should
receive in 2-3 days.
It may take several weeks for the medical examiner to determine manner and cause of
death.
UPDATE:
The Saint Louis County Medical Examiner has positively identified the body as Dale Elizabeth Gerard DOB: 06/21/1939.
