NATURE OF INCIDENT: Heroin Dealer Arrested

INCIDENT LOCATION: 300 block North 7th Avenue East

On Thursday, May 1st, 2014 at approximately 1430 hours, Investigators from the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and Duluth Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of North 7th Avenue East. The residence was identified as a location where a suspect, Antonio Dantinue Long (aka “Tone”) a 38 year old male resident of Chicago, was selling heroin.  

During the execution of the search warrant approximately 34 grams of heroin, 33 grams of crack cocaine, and a stolen .45 caliber handgun along with other evidence of drug sales was seized. The handgun was stolen during a gun show in Moose Lake, Minnesota on 05/18/13.
 
Long was lodged at the Saint Louis County Jail for 1st Degree Sale of Heroin, 1st Degree Sale of Crack Cocaine, 2 counts 3rd Degree Sale of Heroin and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. On May 5th, 2014 Long was formally charged by the St. Louis County Attorney's Office.
 
Long has previous convictions in Illinois for Attempted Murder and Felony Battery.
 
The female resident at the address was a known associate of Long's and was the subject of a separate seizure and arrest in 2013 where 10 grams of crack and 12 grams of heroin were seized.
