Gas Main Repair Planned for Piedmont Hts. Neighborhood

 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities Department has identified a gas main leak at Morris Thomas Road and Riveness Road in the Piedmont Heights neighborhood. City crews will be on site this morning to make repairs with no intent to shut down gas service to the area.  

The work does require staff to release some pressure and gas from the impacted section of the gas main before repairs can start. Residents in the immediate vicinity will detect a gas odor but, there is no imminent danger. Crews plan to be finished with repairs by or before 1:00 p.m.
