10th Ave and E. First Street Intersection to Temporarily Close for Road Construction
 
[Duluth, MN] - Starting Tuesday, July 1, 2014, East First Street will be closed at 10th Avenue East for approximately two months as part of the 10th Ave reconstruction project. During that time, 1st Street will be converted to two way traffic between 10th Avenue East and 12th Avenue East, and also between 9th Avenue East and 10th Avenue East.  The two way portions will be striped with a yellow double center line and signed appropriately while the intersection is closed.  This will allow access and egress into existing parking areas and businesses.
 
The 10th Ave reconstruction project started at the intersection of Superior Street and will make its way up to 5th Street. The entire project is expected to be completed by November 1st.
