Aerial Lift Bridge and Slip Bridge to be Secured Down during 4th of July Firework Display
[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth reminds the public that the Aerial Lift Bridge and the Pedestrian Slip Bridge (Blue Bridge) in Canal Park will both be secured in the down position during the firework display on the 4th of July.
The Slip Bridge will be secured from approximately 8:00 p.m. until approximately 11:30 pm on the evening of Friday, July 4th. The Aerial Lift Bridge will remain secured down from approximately 7:00 p.m. on Friday until approximately 1:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, July 5th. Vessels able to pass under the bridge may do so at any time, but the bridge will be secured in the down position for the duration of the event to allow foot and vehicular traffic to flow at all times.
