City of Duluth to Debut Closed Captioning of City Council Meetings
[Duluth, MN] – Mayor Don Ness, City Councilors, and officials from the Minnesota Department of Human Services – Deaf and Hard of Hearing Division will hold a brief news conference this afternoon to announce the debut of closed captioning services during City Council meetings, starting at tonight's meeting at 7 p.m.
As part of a continuous effort to improve communication and ensure accessible and transparent city government for all residents, the City of Duluth and PACT TV are proud to offer closed captioning of City Council meetings and other city related functions. This follows other recent upgrades to City communication including live web streaming of Council meetings and an updated, user-friendly City website: www.duluthmn.gov.
