NATURE OF INCIDENT: Duluth Man Arrested for Burglary, MV Tampering, Theft & Damage to Property

INCIDENT LOCATION: 11th Avenue West & Second Street

On Monday, July 21st, 2014 at 2:25 PM Duluth Police were sent on a suspicious activity call to 11th Avenue West & Second Street. A Lincoln Park Citizen Patrol member saw a male drive up, get out and fill a backpack with items from the trunk and walk into a nearby creek area. Officers located the suspect shortly after; he was identified as Kyle Lee Davis, a 19 year old resident of Duluth. He was found in possession of stolen mail and issued a ticket for misdemeanor theft. 

At 4:10 PM Officers were called to the 200 block of North 12th Avenue West on a garage burglary that had occurred sometime since late morning.  Officers further learned that two vehicles inside the garage had been entered and items were stolen. 
At 4:58 PM officers were sent to the 1300 block of West First Street after the caller reported a suspicious male looking inside of their vehicle. Officers located the suspect Kyle Lee Davis nearby. Davis was in possession of stolen items from the garage burglary/vehicle prowls on 12th Avenue West.
He was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail for 3rd Degree Burglary, Motor Vehicle Tampering, Damage to Property and Theft.
