College Street Road Striping Project to Take Place Tomorrow,

July 30

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is informing the public of road striping project along a segment of College Street between Kenwood Ave and Junction Avenue. Crews and equipment will be on site tomorrow, July 30, 2014 to restripe the road from the current four lanes down to two lanes, add bike lanes on both sides, and include parking accommodations on the south side of College Street.

This project was evaluated by City of Duluth and community stakeholders which identified the increased potential for bike use (75-100 bikes per day) given the street's connection to two college campuses and the low vehicle traffic counts (5900 per day) which justified the reduction from four down to two vehicle lanes.

Motorists may experience some delays when traveling on College Street. The City thanks the public for their patience as we make improvements to promote safe transit for all users.
