Street Preservation Project in West Duluth Progressing


[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Street Preservation Project in West Duluth along 40th Ave West is progressing. Crews have been on site this week conducting site preparations. Starting next Tuesday, August 11, 2014, crews will be milling 40th Ave West between I 35 and Grand Avenue. This will cause delays for those using this stretch of road. Flaggers will be on site helping with traffic flow but motorists are advised to use alternate routes to ease congestion.

Signage is posted indicating “No Thru Traffic” at all adjacent streets in the area, but entry to and from the businesses within the vicinity of the project and emergency services will be maintained. Additional improvements in the area also include Superior Street and First Street (between 40th Ave West and 46th Ave West). The estimated completion date is September 12, 2014.

 

The City thanks the public for their patience as we work to improve streets for safe transit by all users.
