INCIDENT LOCATION: 400 block Clark Court
On Saturday, August 16th, 2014 at 3:42 PM Duluth Police were called to a car/bicycle accident with injuries in the 400 block of Clark Court.
Initial investigation revealed a 45 year old female Duluth resident was driving a van on Clark Court when she struck a 6 year old male Duluth resident that was crossing the street on his bike. The driver of the van did not see him until she struck him.
The 6 year old was brought to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the van had no signs of impairment. This is an active investigation. No further information is available at this time.
UPDATE:
The deceased has been identified as Daniel Joseph Borisovich Nektalov, 6 year old male
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Bridgette Marie Tyson, 45 year old female.
This remains an active investigation. No further information is available.
