INCIDENT LOCATION: 7th Avenue East and #4 alley
On Tuesday, August 19th, 2014 at 5:51 PM Duluth Police were called to 7th Avenue East & 4th Street on a shooting incident.
Initial investigation revealed that at least 3 black males were fighting in an alley at 7th Avenue East below 4th Street. They appeared to be fighting over a bag the victim had. The suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the 21 year old Duluth resident in the leg and was last seen running eastbound through #4 alley with the victims bag. The suspect and victim were known to each other, this was not a random act.
Suspect was described as:
- Black male
- 18-19 years old
- 5’7” to 5’8” tall
- Thin build
- Wearing a white t-shirt and black pants with dark shoes
The victim was transported to a local hospital to treat his non-life threatening injury.
