Lakewalk Trail Maintenance to Start September 15

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth will be conducting general maintenance of the Lakewalk starting Monday, September 15, 2014 and lasting the entire week. A crew will be sealcoating the Lakewalk to protect and preserve it for ongoing future use starting at Brighton Beach and working westward.

Crews will be seal coating two mile segments at a time, for a total of 3 segments. Newly coated segments will be clearly marked and inaccessible until dry, which could take about a day, pending no rain.

Crews will be working on the Lakewalk the entire week. The public is requested to refrain from using the treated segments until they are dry.

The City thanks the public for their cooperation in order for crews to finish their work of preserving this popular and treasured city trail.
