INCIDENT LOCATION: 800 block North 24th Avenue West
On Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 at 1:54 AM Duluth Police were called to a residence in the 800 block of North 24th Avenue West after a male called 911 and told dispatchers to send the police.
Officers arrived and a male met them at the door and told them they should arrest him because he just killed his mother. Officers detained the male and entered the house where they found a deceased 71 year old female with stab wounds.
The deceased was identified as Mary Margaret Mosqueda, a 71 year old female resident of Duluth.
The suspect was identified as Carmen Emigdio Mosqueda, a 37 year old male resident of Duluth.
Carmen Emigdio Mosqueda was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail for 2nd Degree Intentional Homicide. He has no previous criminal charges.
This is an active investigation. No further information is available at this time.
