NATURE OF INCIDENT: UPDATE - Arrest Warrants Issued for Aggravated Robbery

INCIDENT DATE: 8/19/2014
INCIDENT TIME: 5:51 PM
INCIDENT LOCATION: 7th Avenue East and #4 alley

On Tuesday, August 19th, 2014 at 5:51 PM Duluth Police were called to 7th Avenue East & 4th Street on a shooting incident.

Initial investigation revealed that at least 3 black males were fighting in an alley at 7th Avenue East below 4th Street. They appeared to be fighting over a bag the victim had. The suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the 21 year old Duluth resident in the leg and was last seen running eastbound through #4 alley with the victim’s bag. The suspect and victim were known to each other, this was not a random act.
UPDATE:
The Duluth Police Department has identified two suspects in the robbery as follows: 
Jabari Omari Samuel
  • 35 year old
  • Black male
  • 6’ 1”
  • 250 pounds
 
Metris Javon Bell
  • 20 year old
  • Black male
  • 5’11”
  • 135 pounds
The Duluth Police Department is seeking the public’s help locating JABARI SAMUEL and METRIS BELL who both have warrants for Aggravated Robbery stemming from this incident. Their hairstyles may be different than pictured. If anyone has information has seen or knows the whereabouts of either JABARI SAMUEL or METRIS BELL they are asked to call 911.
