NATURE OF INCIDENT: Aggravated Robbery Suspect - Metris Bell - ARRESTED!

INCIDENT LOCATION: 7th Avenue East and #4 Alley
On Tuesday, August 19th, 2014 at 5:51 PM Duluth Police were called to 7th Avenue East & 4th Street on a shooting incident.
Initial investigation revealed that at least 3 black males were fighting in an alley at 7th Avenue East below 4th Street. They appeared to be fighting over a bag the victim had. The suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the 21 year old Duluth resident in the leg and was last seen running eastbound through #4 alley with the victim’s bag. The suspect and victim were known to each other, this was not a random act.
The Duluth Police Department has identified two suspects in the robbery as follows:
Jabari Omari Samuel
- 35 year old
- Black male
- 6’ 1”
- 250 pounds
Metris Javon Bell
- 20 year old
- Black male
- 5’11”
- 135 pounds
UPDATE:
On Thursday, September 18th, 2014 at 12:53 AM a Duluth Police Officer got into a foot pursuit of a possible robbery suspect, after a brief struggle the suspect was arrested and brought to the Saint Louis County Jail for Fleeing Police on Foot and Obstructing With Out Force.
Through fingerprints it was learned that the suspect was Metris Javon Bell. An additional charge for Gross Misdemeanor False Information is being requested in addition to the formal charge of Aggravated Robbery. Metris Bell was the suspect who shot the robbery victim.
The Duluth Police Department is still seeking the public’s help locating JABARI SAMUEL. His hairstyle may be different than pictured. If anyone has information has seen or knows the whereabouts of JABARI SAMUEL they are asked to call 911.
