NATURE OF INCIDENT: Duluth Man Arrested for Aggravated Robbery & 2nd Degree Assault

INCIDENT LOCATION: 4th Avenue East & 4th Street

On Monday, September 22nd, 2014 at 3:52 PM Duluth Police were called to area of 4th Avenue East and 4th Street for an armed robbery that just occurred.
Initial investigation revealed the 24 year old male victim was just robbed at knife point. The suspect left on foot, westbound 4th Street . No one was injured. Officers located a male matching the suspect’s description nearby; he was identified as Joseph Lee Morrow, a 23 year old male resident of Duluth. Morrow was found with the victim’s backpack and other stolen items. The knife believed to be used in the robbery was also located on Morrow.
Joseph Morrow has the following convictions in Minnesota:
2012 – Felony Escape from Custody
2012 – False Information to Police
2011 – Felony Receiving Stolen Property
2011 – Misdemeanor Theft
Joseph Morrow was arrested and brought to the Saint Louis County Jail for Aggravated Robbery and 2nd Degree Assault.
