Culvert Repair Work Taking Place on Congdon Boulevard

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Public Works & Utility Department is informing the public that access to Congdon Boulevard between 7801 Congdon Boulevard and 90th Ave East will be affected due to culvert repairs related to the June 2012 Flood.

The City will be placing temporary concrete barriers in some locations along the shoulder of 7801 Congdon Boulevard up to 90th Avenue East that were impacted by slope erosion from the flood. The barriers are a safety measure for areas where the guard rails have shifted out of place.

A detour will be in place on Wednesday, October 15 for placement of the temporary barriers. The detour route will be from Lakewood Road to McQuade Road, routed along Highway 61. Congdon Boulevard will be open to local traffic. This project is expected to be completed next year.
