NATURE OF INCIDENT: Arson Fire - Reward Offered

INCIDENT TIME: 1:10 am
INCIDENT LOCATION: 1603, 1605 & 1607 East 4th Street (One Building)

The Duluth Fire Department and the Duluth Police Department have been investigating the cause of the fire at 1603 East 4th Street that occurred on Monday, October 13th, 2014 at 1:10 am and have determined the cause to be Arson. The fire was set on the front porch. Six people were sent to the hospital with injuries from the fire. One of the six was a Duluth Fire Fighter who fell through a hole burned in the front porch. Five pets died in the fire. More than twenty people were inside the building at the time of the fire.      

Anyone with information on who started the fire is asked to call the Duluth Arson line at 218-730-5080 or the Minnesota Arson line at 1-800-723-2020. There is a reward of up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
