First Street West Temporary Lane Closure Starts November 25 in Downtown Duluth   
 
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is informing the public that starting on Tuesday, November 25th, the far left driving lane of 1st Street West will be closed between 4th and 5th Avenue West in downtown Duluth to prepare for the demolition of the Duluth News Tribune’s warehouse located at 408 West First Street. This is being done in order to construct the entrance to the parking facility that is part of the new maurices Headquarters. The sidewalk will be partially blocked on the south side of 1st Street West and there will be a loss of several metered parking spaces while the demolition occurs.
 
Access to the Duluth Workforce Center and other services located on First Street will be maintained. The demolition is expected to take one month to complete.
