 Public Invited to Comment on Future Options for Downtown Library

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth invites and encourages the public to attend an open house meeting to learn more about the options for remodeling or rebuilding Duluth’s Main Library in downtown. The meeting will take place on: 

Date:  Thursday, December 4, 2014 
Time:  6 - 8 pm, with a brief presentation at 6:30 pm
Location: Main Library Green Room, 520 W. Superior St.

Informational boards will be displayed describing the various options with a brief presentation at 6:30 pm to give background about the process. Participants will have a chance to submit comments to be considered by the Citizen Committee at their next meeting. City of Duluth staff and members of the Citizen Committee will be on hand to answer questions.

Options under consideration are:

1) Minor renovations to the current main library building
2) Major renovations to the current main library building
3) Building a new main library building with the same square footage as the current building
4) Building a new, smaller main library building
Details and cost estimates of the options will be available at the December 4 meeting.
