NATURE OF INCIDENT: Structure Fire at Tri Towers
CASE NO.: 14277647
INCIDENT DATE: 12/20/2014
INCIDENT TIME: 4:43 p.m.
INCIDENT LOCATION: Tri Towers Apartment Complex

On Saturday, December 20th, 2014 at around 4:43 p.m. Duluth Police and Fire Departments responded to Tri Towers on reports of a fire in apartment 1305.    The fire was contained to that unit.    The renter, Rodney Allen Hallquist 03/23/1954, died during the incident.   The cause of death is pending results of the toxicology test by the St. Louis County Medical Examiner but is believed to be accidental.   There was oxygen in use in the apartment by Hallquist.

The Duluth Fire Marshal wants to remind the public that you should not smoke when oxygen is present and can be very dangerous.
