INCIDENT DATE: 11/18/2014
INCIDENT TIME:
INCIDENT LOCATION: Port Terminal Drive Area

The Duluth Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in a vehicle theft that took place in the early morning hours of November 18, 2014.  The suspects in a light colored SUV enter the Sinnott Blacktop parking lot located on Birch Avenue in the Port Terminal Drive area.  They prowl around the yard and attempt to steal gas from storage tanks located on the property.  In the process, they steal a white 1997 Chevy pickup/work truck which leaves the area on Garfield Avenue and up Old Piedmont Avenue.  The truck is found later that morning on West 10th Street in the antenna farm area.

On December 20, 2014 Duluth Police take a report of suspicious activity in the area of West Superior and Carlton Street.  Two sets of footprints are found in the parking lots of Maney International, Como Oil, and United Products leading up to the gas tanks on the trucks.   A possible suspect vehicle involved is an older green F150 with WI license plates that was parked in the area.  Investigators believe the two incidents may be related.   If you have any information on the suspects, witnessed anything relating to these two incidents, or have information on suspect vehicles, please contact Investigator Tony Radloff at (218) 730-5667.
