NATURE OF INCIDENT: Structure Fire @ 521 N. Lake Ave.

INCIDENT LOCATION: 521 N. Lake Ave.

 At 6:26 P.M. on Friday April 10th, 2015, the Duluth Fire Department responded to a structure fire located at 521 N. Lake Avenue. Number One engine was in the area, and arrived on scene first to find heavy fire and dark smoke at the rear of the house. As other fire crews arrived, hose lines were laid and fire crews began to attack the fire which was working it's way up the back of the house to the eaves of a second story house.

The fire was soon knocked down, the house was searched for possible occupants, but no one was home at the time of the fire. Two cats were rescued during the search of the home.

Twenty firefighters responded to this fire. The Duluth Fire Marshal's office is investigating the fire. Damage is estimated to be in excess of $100,000 dollars.
