Water Main Repair Disrupts Water Service to Residences 
Near Brighton Beach 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities department is informing the public about a water shutoff today in the far eastern neighborhood of Duluth, near Brighton Beach, due to a water main repair. City staff identified several cracks in the 42 inch water main that serves as a main feedline to the surrounding area. In order to seal the cracks, crews have shut off water for the day and hope to resume water service later tonight. Once repaired, it will take a couple of hours for water to refill the main. Residents impacted due to this water main repair are those located on the following roads: Brighton St., Chase Ave, Eastridge Blvd, and E. Superior St. between Hwy 61 and Chase Ave. Staff has already notified impacted residents.  

The City apologizes for the inconvenience this has caused and is working diligently to facilitate repairs in a timely manner.
