Public Invited to Meeting on Proposed Ped/Bike Path to Improve
                     Connectivity of Neighborhoods and Schools

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Planning division invites the public to an informational meeting regarding the upcoming construction of a shared use pedestrian and bicycle path adjacent to College Street between Kenwood Avenue and 19th Ave East. The project is one segment of a larger, planned pedestrian/bicycle path that aims to interconnect neighborhoods, public schools, and university campuses between Rice Lake Road and the Duluth Lakewalk system at 32nd Ave East.

The project is scheduled for construction in the summer of 2015. The project vision includes improving and expanding various modes of transit by constructing an 8-ft to 10-ft wide bituminous shared use path; bituminous mill and overlay of College Street pavement; selective repair of sidewalks; storm sewer relocations and adjustments; and new pavement striping.

The public meeting will be held at the Mitchell Auditorium, College of St. Scholastica, 1200 Kenwood Avenue on April 28th, 2015 at 6:30 PM. A presentation regarding the proposed improvements will be provided followed by a question and answer session with attendees.

Please direct questions to Jenn Reed Moses in the City’s Planning Division at (218) 730-5328.
