NATURE OF INCIDENT: Homicide Victim’s Belongings Returned to Family
CASE NO.:
INCIDENT DATE: 4/20/2015
INCIDENT TIME: 6:00 a.m.
INCIDENT LOCATION:

In 1981, Carolyn Andrew was murdered and her body was found at Twin Ponds in Duluth. In 2009, Duluth Police Lieutenant Scott Drewlo and BCA Agent Jerry Koneczny began working on this cold case.  They recently solved this tragic case after 34 years.

On Monday, April 20th, 2015 at 6:00 a.m., Lt. Drewlo will be flying to Tennessee to give Carolyn's parents some personal belongings which were recovered at the crime scene, to include clothing, a tube of lipstick, a comb and a small bag of quarters which Carolyn's parents gave to her prior to leaving her house on the night of her murder.

Before he retired from police work, Lt. Drewlo wanted to solve this case and personally deliver Carolyn's belongings back to her parents.  The murder has been solved and on Monday, April 20th, Lt. Drewlo will perform one of his last professional law enforcement duties by presenting Carolyn's personal belongings to her parents.  Lt. Drewlo will retire on April 29th, 2015.

Cirrus Aircraft volunteered to donate their services to fly Lt. Drewlo to Tennessee, where Carolyn’s parents live, to deliver Carolyn’s belongings as part of this final closure in this case.
