Notice of Duluth Road/Bridge Construction Projects in Congdon Neighborhood
[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth Public Works & Utilities Department is informing the public of current projects that will require street closures in the Congdon neighborhood.
Hawthorne Road
City crews are working to address storm water issues affecting the pavement along a 200 foot stretch of Hawthorne Road. This work requires the closure of Hawthorne Road, up to Wallace Avenue, to general traffic but access for residents is being maintained. The repairs could take up to three weeks.

Tischer Creek Bridge
Repairs to Tischer Creek Bridge, which crosses East 4th Street between Hawthorne Road and Ridgewood Road, is currently underway. This segment of East 4th Street will be closed for up to four months to stabilize the area and repair the bridge. This work is being done as part of the restoration and recovery from the 2012 summer flood.
Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. The City thanks the public for their patience and cooperation.
