Public Meeting on Repairs Planned for 8th Ave East in Duluth
 
[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth Public Works & Utilities department is inviting residents to an informational meeting to learn more about an upcoming street project scheduled for construction along 8th Avenue East from 4th Street to 8th Street. The project includes drainage repair and curb & gutter improvements as part of the June 2012 flood restoration work. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at Grant Community Recreation Center, 901 E 11th Street.
 
City staff will present information on the project and participants will be able to ask questions or share concerns. The project could start this June once bids have been approved by the City Council. The project would require closure of 8th Ave East to general traffic and no on-street parking. Access to residences will be maintained. The estimated project completion timeframe is October 2015.
