Minnesota Slip Bridge to Start Summer Operation Schedule
 
[Duluth, MN] - May 1 marks the official start to the regular summer operating schedule for the Minnesota Slip Bridge in Canal Park, in preparation for the tourist and boating season. The Minnesota Slip Bridge provides a connection between Canal Park and the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center in addition to other venues such as the Great Lakes Aquarium and Bayfront Festival Park.

The Minnesota Slip Bridge will be operational from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 11:00 pm Friday and Saturday. The bridge may open earlier or stay open later than its regular schedule depending on events in the area.

Built in 1991, the Minnesota Slip Bridge has had challenges in maintaining consistent operations but the City has been diligent in monitoring and making improvements to the Slip Bridge to reduce disruptions in operations. The City of Duluth continually strives to provide efficient water vessel and pedestrian mobility in the Canal Park business district.
