Public meeting on zoning regulations to be held February 9

The City Planning Division invites the public to a meeting to discuss the proposed Module 3 of the Unified Development Chapter, of the City of Duluth Legislative Code, on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 6:00 PM in the St. Louis River Room at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center.  The Clarion Associates team, which was hired to assist City Planning staff in drafting the new land use regulations, will make a presentation.

Module 3 focuses on development standards related to landscaping, parking, storm water, sustainability, and signage. The Natural Resources Overlay and the Dimensional Tables will also be released at this time.  

The UDC will replace Chapter 50, Zoning Regulations, and other sections of the City’s Code dealing with zoning and development. The new code is anticipated to be completed and presented to the City Council for adoption in summer 2010.
