Next Phase of 10th Ave East Reconstruction to Start May 13 in Duluth
 
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is informing residents that the next phase of 10th Ave East reconstruction will start on Wednesday, May 13th. This work is necessary due to the aging infrastructure. Last year’s reconstruction of 10th Avenue East stretched from Superior Street up to 3rd Street. This year’s project will start May 13th, and go from the 3rd Street intersection up to 5th Street.
 
This project will consist of complete reconstruction of 10th Avenue East that will include sanitary sewer and water main replacement, storm sewer improvements, and road and sidewalk reconstruction. Ever-Green Energy (Duluth Steam) will have a contractor replacing the steam line from 3rd Street to 4th Street in the west boulevard of 10th Avenue East. New traffic signals will also be placed at the 3rd Street intersection.
 
The public is advised to use alternate routes. The projected completion of this work is August of this year.
