City of Duluth and Ever-Green Energy to Unveil New Plans for Duluth’s Energy Future
 
What:    
Duluth Steam, the City of Duluth’s district energy system, will unveil a new name and plans for Duluth’s energy future. The system has been serving the Duluth community since 1932 and is in the midst of implementing major system upgrades to better serve its customers, save energy and cost, and reduce the City’s carbon footprint. This transformation is dependent on the transition of the distribution from steam to hot water. When complete, this system will serve as a national model for community energy.

Mayor Don Ness, City of Duluth; Ken Smith, President and CEO of Ever-Green Energy; Jim Green, General Manager of Duluth Steam; Jodi Slick, CEO of Ecolibrium3; David Ross, President of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce
 
When:
Program at 10:00 a.m on Tuesday, May 19. Ribbon cutting to follow, tours of the facility will be offered following the program.
