On June 19 at approximately 5:40 a.m. a semi-truck loaded with large rolls of paper was traveling on Port Terminal Dr. when it attempted to round a corner. In doing so, the semi-truck overturned while rounding the corner. The driver was not injured in the crash. Rolls of paper had to be removed from trailer before they were able to upright the semi and the trailer. The Duluth Police Department investigated the crash with the assistance of the State Patrol’s Commercial Vehicle Inspector. After speaking to the State Patrol’s CVI, there appeared to be no mechanical malfunctions that would have led to this crash.
