NATURE OF INCIDENT: Lincoln Park "Meet on the Street" Event

INCIDENT LOCATION: 24th Avenue to 27th Avenue West on 3rd Street

Traffic Detour/Street Closure for Lincoln Park "Meet on the Street"

On Sunday, July 19th, 2015, the Healthy Duluth Area Coalition is holding the Lincoln Park "Meet on the Street" event from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Starting at 12:30 p.m. until about 6:00 p.m., West 3rd Street will be closed to traffic from 24th Avenue West to 27th Avenue West.  Westbound traffic will be detoured down 24th Avenue West to Superior Street, 27th Avenue West and back up to 3rd Street.  Eastbound traffic will be detoured down 27th Avenue West to Superior Street, East to 24th Avenue West and back up to 3rd Street.  Detour signs will guide traffic on to these routes.

3rd Street will be posted no parking on both sides of the street from 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., and vehicles will be tagged and towed to clear the event route.  A portion of 27th Avenue West will also be posted no parking in the vicinity of 3rd Street so vehicles can turn onto the 27th Avenue West.

Drivers are asked to use caution in the area during this event, and to watch for pedestrians, officers directing traffic, detours, barricades, and no parking signs.
