INCIDENT LOCATION: 4800 Block of Cooke Street
On Saturday July 18th, 2015 at 9:43 p.m. Duluth Police responded to the 4800 block of Cooke Street on a report of a person who was assaulted. Officers determined that a male and female suspect entered the residence, and assaulted a 48 year old male victim. They threatened the home owner with a knife and stole items from the residence. Officers located and arrested 21 year old Katie Schultz of Duluth. Schultz was taken to the St. Louis County Jail on aiding and abetting 1st Degree Robbery and 1st Degree Burglary charges. The parties involved in this incident were known to each other, this was not a random act.
On July 22, 2015 at 8:39 a.m. Duluth Police received information that the male suspect in this incident was staying in the area of 300 East Superior Street. Duluth Police arrested 22 year old Robert Robinson in connection with the incident in the 4800 block of Cooke Street. Robinson was taken to the St. Louis County Jail on 1st Degree Robbery and 1st Degree Burglary charges.
Robinson has a criminal history to include felon escaping custody and possession of a controlled substance charges in Itasca County, two pending counts of aggravated robbery, and has been convicted of two counts of 2nd Degree Burglary charges in St. Louis County.
