Utility Repairs to Impact Travel on Section of Arrowhead Road July 29-31
[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities is informing the public that work crews will be out fixing and adjusting manholes starting July 29, 2015 along Arrowhead Road between Carver Ave and Columbus Ave. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the work was rescheduled from early July until this week. The project involves removing and resetting castings and leveling out the manhole with the road surface. The work is expected to finish by July 31, weather permitting.
Because of the nature of the work and the relatively narrow street, crews will need to close off one lane at a time for a couple of days, then switch to the other side of the road and close down another lane on the other side, for a couple more days, until the project is finished.
East bound traffic on Arrowhead Road will follow Carver Avenue south to St. Marie Street, then east on St. Marie towards Woodland Ave, then north onto Woodland Avenue and Arrowhead Road. West bound traffic on Arrowhead Road will be allowed to pass through the work zone in a single lane but at a reduced speed.
