Traffic Advisory

The Mount of Olives Baptist Church Festival 5K Race will be held on Tuesday, August 18th, starting at 6:00 p. m. in the Duluth Heights neighborhood. 

Starting at 5:30 p.m. Northbound traffic of Swan Lake Road will be detoured east onto Terrrace Street toward Arlington Avenue.   Southbound traffic on Swan Lake Road will not be affected.

Runners will also be using the southbound shoulder of Arlington Avenue to Olive Street, and the westbound lane of Olive Street from Arlington Avenue to Stanford Avenue.  Some traffic on Olive Street and Stanford Avenue will be diverted for a short time.

Duluth Police Officers, Police Reserves, and volunteers will be assisting with traffic control and directing the runners. The event should be over approximately 7:30 p.m.

Drivers are urged to use caution when using roads affected by this event.
