The Duluth Police Department is investigating a two vehicle crash that sent a 36 year old Duluth man to the hospital.
On Sunday, February 28, 2010, at 4:20 PM, the Duluth Police Department responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of East Gilead Street and Como Avenue. A silver 2008 Ford Focus driven by Joanne Kathleen Loukes, age 67 of Duluth, was traveling north on Como Avenue when it collided with a green 1946 Willy’s Jeep traveling west on East Gilead Street. The Willy’s Jeep, driven by Andrew Ryan Sparrow, age 36 of Duluth, went into a skid and rolled over. Sparrow, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not ejected but suffered a head injury.
Sparrow was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance where he is in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. Loukes was not injured in the crash.
