NATURE OF INCIDENT: Person with a Gun Incident

INCIDENT TIME: 2:08 a.m.
INCIDENT LOCATION: 1st Avenue West and 1st Street Duluth

On Saturday, September 5th, 2015 at 2:08 a.m. Duluth Police responded to the area of 1st Avenue West and 1st Street on a report of several shots fired in the area. Duluth Police are investigating the incident. 19 year old Levi Jermar Miller was arrested and taken to the St. Louis County Jail on charges of 2nd Degree Assault, Reckless Discharge of a firearm, carrying a firearm under the influence of alcohol and without a permit, and underage consumption of alcohol. There were no reports of any injuries in the incident and this does not appear to be a random act of violence. Duluth Police is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or recorded video, to contact the Duluth Police Violent Crimes Unit at (218) 730-5050.  No other information is available due to ongoing investigation.
