Inspections will impact travel on Aerial Lift Bridge next week

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is informing the public that travel on the Aerial Lift Bridge next Monday and Tuesday, September 14 and 15 will be temporarily converted to controlled one way traffic on the Bridge between 8 AM and 4 PM both days. The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be conducting a Fracture Critical inspection on the bridge. Traffic on the bridge will be controlled by traffic signal lights. The traffic lights will let motorists know when it is safe to proceed across the bridge. If the inspection is completed early, staff will resume two way traffic.

Motorists exiting the Aerial Lift Bridge onto Park Point should drive cautiously and slowly as they will immediately encounter altered traffic patterns due to the construction of a pump station on Park Point.
