Water Main Shutdown Tuesday 10/13 - Grand Ave & 62nd Ave W

[DULUTH, MN] - On Tuesday October 13th, there will be a water main shut down on Grand Ave at 62nd Avenue West. Residents in the immediate vicinity will not have water service from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM on the 13th. Those residents who can expect a loss of water service during that time will either be personally contacted by the City staff Utility Inspector or by written notice via a door hanger. All other City residents west of I-35 including Norton Park, Riverside, Gary New-Duluth, and Fon du Lac may experience lower than normal flow rates or water pressure until the repairs are completed. Repair completion is set for 5 PM on October 13th, at which point water pressure and flow should return to normal. 

This work is being done due to an old valve leaking in Grand Avenue. The goal is to have it repaired before MnDOT paves over the location. Questions and concerns can be directed to City of Duluth Engineer, Tom Pfeffer. Tom can be reached at 218-730-5104 or tpfeffer@duluthmn.gov.
