Road Closure Due to Emergency Bridge Inspection at 32nd Ave E

[DULUTH, MN] - A crane truck struck the SLLC bridge over 32nd Ave E this morning causing damage to the bridge. 32nd Ave E between London Road and Greysolon Road will be closed to through traffic. Local access to the drives below Greysolon will be allowed, as well as trail access across 32nd Ave E. The road will be closed starting at 3 PM to conduct an emergency bridge inspection. Initial inspections do not indicate a hazard to vehicles or pedestrians, however trains cannot run over the bridge presently. The roadway is expected to open by 7 PM this evening.
