INCIDENT LOCATION: 200 West 1st Street Duluth
On Saturday, October 10th, 2015 at 1:47 a.m. Duluth Police responded to the area of the 200 block of West 1st Street on a report of an attempted robbery. Officers arrived at the scene and spoke to the male victim who stated that the suspect pointed a gun at him and demanded money. Officers located a male who is identified as 46 year old Mark Monroe. A firearm is located on Monroe during search incident to arrest. Monroe is taken to the St. Louis County Jail and charged with 1st Degree aggravated Robbery and felon in possession of a firearm. Monroe has been formally charged in St. Louis County District Court.
Monroe has several prior felony convictions to include aggravated robbery, burglary, and drug possession.
