NATURE OF INCIDENT: Accident Fatality

INCIDENT DATE: 10/13/2015
INCIDENT TIME: 6:03 p.m.
INCIDENT LOCATION: Twin Ponds Area Duluth

On Tuesday, October 13th, 2015 at 6:03 p.m. Duluth Police responded to the area of Twin Ponds on a report of an accident with injuries.  Officers arrived at the scene and determined that a vehicle driving on Skyline Parkway left the roadway and ended up in Twin Ponds.


A female pedestrian who was walking in the area was struck by the vehicle. She has been identified as 60 year old Susan Elizabeth Legarde-Menz.  Legarde-Menz was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where she died from her injuries. 


The Driver who fled the scene of the accident has been identified as 30 year old Justin Paul Linskie. Linskie was arrested and  transported to the St. Louis County Jail on charges of Criminal Vehicular Homicide and driving after revocation. 


Linskie has not been formally charged in St. Louis County District Court.  This incident is under investigation and no additional information is available at this time.
