News Conference October 29 at 10 AM in Duluth City Hall

Key Partners Join Forces to Help Strengthen Community, Duluth Parks and Streams

 

[Duluth, MN] - Duluth Mayor Don Ness, Patrick Waldron with CN (Canadian National Railway), and Angie Miller with Community Action Duluth will hold a news conference on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Room 405 of Duluth City Hall, 411 West First Street, to highlight their partnership in support of Community Action Duluth’s green jobs project, “Stream Corps," and the accomplishments of the team’s recent work in Duluth’s park system.  

The Stream Corps project trained five individuals with new skills for gainful employment using environmental stewardship practices, reforestation methods, and knowledge of Geographic Information Systems to help sustain park land and protect the habitats of Duluth's streams.  

Mayor Ness, Mr. Waldron, and Ms. Miller will make comments about the partnership, program goals, and overall outcomes. The speakers will be available for questions.
