Spirit Mountain Water Infrastructure and Erosion Control Project

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth and the Spirit Mountain Recreation Area Authority staff and Board will be joined by members of the Minnesota Legislature, partners and the community to recognize the contributions of project partners and funders that contributed to the completion of the Water Infrastructure and Erosion Control Project. The community will gather on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Grand Chalet located at 8551 Grand Ave.

Mayor Don Ness, Senator Roger Reinert, Representative Erik Simonson, and other esteemed officials will make remarks.

The $6.2 million project enables Spirit Mountain to upgrade their snow making operations but more importantly utilizes a  system that protects Duluth streams and the Tallis Island estuary by preventing run off and erosion. The project was funded with support from the Minnesota Legislature, the City of Duluth, National Fish & Wildlife and grant funds from the Sustain our Great Lake Commission.
