NATURE OF INCIDENT: Heroin Drug Arrests

INCIDENT LOCATION: 400 block of Mesaba Avenue Duluth

On Friday, December 4th, 2015 at 2:02 p.m. Duluth Police and Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant on a residence in the 400 block of Mesaba Avenue. During the search, investigators located 18 grams of Heroin and $3,533 in the residence. Three individuals were arrested in the incident. 26 year old Erick Julian Morgan of Chicago, Illinois was arrested for 1st Degree Sale of Heroin, 24 year old Trevor James Hartling of Duluth for 3rd Degree Sale of Heroin, and 46 year old Jodi Lynn Hartling on a felony warrant. The three individuals arrested were taken to jail and formally charged in St. Louis County District Court on the charges.

Morgan, when arrested, was currently on release from Douglas County, Wisconsin, for Possession with intent to deliver narcotics, during which the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force observed him completing numerous sales of narcotics and ultimately arrested him with over 80 grams of heroin back in October.
