NATURE OF INCIDENT: Burglary Suspect Arrested

INCIDENT LOCATION: 400 North block of 77th Avenue West Duluth

On Friday, January 22nd, 2016 at 7:31 p.m. Duluth Police responded to a residence in the area of the 400 North block of 77th Avenue West on a report of a burglary.  Duluth Police investigated the burglary incident and was able to develop a list of items that were taken.  After leaving the residence, an officer encountered a male in the 7600 block of Grand Avenue. 41 year old Patrick James Buen who initially gave a false name to the officer was arrested for the warrant and false name to police. Buen was searched incident to arrest and had stolen items in his possession from the residence that was burglarized in the area.   Buen was taken to jail and formally charged in St. Louis County District Court for 2nd Degree Burglary, receiving stolen property and false name to police.


Buen has an extensive criminal history and convictions to include burglary, felony thefts, forgery, and possession of stolen property.
